The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. They are regarded as the most influential band of all time. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were international stars by early 1964. After the group's break-up in 1970, all of them enjoyed success as solo artists.
