MARIE CURIE

Marie Curie (7 November - 4 July 1934) was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and the only woman to win twice, and the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences. She was born in Warsaw, then in the part of Poland dominated by Russia.

ROY CHAPMAN ANDREWS

Roy Chapman Andrews (January 26, 1884 - March 11, 1960) was an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist who became the director of the American Museum of Natural History. He is primarily known for leading a series of expeditions through the politically disturbed China of the early 20th century into the Gobi Desert and Mongolia. The expeditions made important discoveries and brought the first-known fossil dinosaur eggs to the museum. His popular writings about his adventures made him famous.

LADY GAGA

Lady Gaga is an American songwriter, singer, actress, philanthropist, dancer and fashion designer. She was born on March 28, 1986, in Manhattan, in New York City. Gaga was able to play the piano from a young age. By the age of 14, Gaga was performing at open mike nights in clubs and bars. She has won six Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, and various BRIT Awards. She has just won a new Grammy for the best pop duet "Shallow" alongside Bradley Cooper.

Bradley Cooper is an American actor and producer. He was born in Philadelphia.

A TRIP TO LONDON

London is the capital and largest city of both England and the United Kingdom. It stands on the River Thames in the south-east of England.

Londinium was founded by the Romans.

The City of Westminster is also an inner London borough holding City status.

Greater London is governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.

London is considered to be one of the world's most important global Cities. London has a diverse range of people and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken in the region.

The London Underground is the oldest underground railway network in the world.
