MARC CHAGALL

Marc Chagall was born on July 7, 1887, in Vitebsk (Russia). He died on March 28, 1985, in Saint-Paul (France).
Marc Chagall was the eldest of nine children born near Vitebsk, Russia. He was Jews. During his school days, Chagall adopted the habit of drawing and copying images from books. In 1910 he moved to St.Petersburg to continue his studies. Chagall moved to Paris in 1910, too. His influence is as vast as the number of styles he assimilated to create his work. He is much like Picasso, an example of a modern artist.
