MERRY CHRISTMAS
In the UK, families often celebrate Christmas together, so they can watch each other open their presents. Most families have a Christmas Tree in their house for Christmas. The decorating of the tree is usually a family occasion, with everyone helping. Most villages, towns and cities are decorated with Christmas lights over Christmas. The most famous Christmas lights in the UK are in Oxford Street in London.
Children write letters to Father Christmas listing their requests. Boxing Day is a very old custom that started in the UK and is now taken as a holiday in many countries around the world.

HALLOWEEN
Halloween, also known as All Saints' Eve is a yearly celebration on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treat, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-or-lanterns.
"Trick-or-treat?" The "trick" part is a threat to play a trick if no treat is given. Trick-or-treating is one of the main traditions of Halloween.
Halloween celebrations in the United Kingdom include parties where guests are often expected to arrive in a costume to reflect the day's theme. Other people gather together to watch horror films, either at home or at a cinema.

EASTER IS COMING!
Easter is an important Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Early celebrations included the painting of eggs, which represented Jesus' empty tomb. Now we give Easter eggs - often chocolate - to friends and family, and have Easter egg hunts for eggs hidden by the Easter bunny.
Easter is not a fixed holiday and the date varies between 22nd March and 25th April. Easter Sunday will next be celebrated on 20th April 2014.
