TEN IN THE BED (by Penny Dale)

"Ten in the bed" is a very well known and popular bedtime story and song which combines numbers, the amusing idea of falling and a nice conclusion in everyone falling out of bed. Finally, they all get back and fall peacefully asleep.

THE HOUSE, THE FAMILY AND PETS

 Class 2 is working the following topics: The rooms of the house, the family members, pets and what they eat. Here they have some videos and songs for extension practice.





Herbivore: an animal that eats only plants. Cows and sheep are herbivores.

Carnivore: an animal that eats meat. Lions and tigers are carnivores.

Omnivore: an animal that is naturally able to eat both plants and meat.

CARNIVAL IS FAST APPROACHING!

Pancake Day is celebrated in the UK with fun, games and a lot of eating. This traditional nursery rhyme is one of the oldest and most widely known surviving English nursery rhymes.

Pat a cake, Pat a cake, baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Pat it and prick it and mark it with  "T" (B)
And put it in the oven for Teacher (Baby) and me.

CARNIVALS: NOTTING HILL (LONDON)

Notting Hill Carnival is one of the most famous carnivals in the world. Notting Hill is in East London. In this video you can see some people making their own costumes. Stephen's trying to learn some dance moves.
